Nintendo Hardware AndSoftware Sales Are In

Nintendo is having a much better year thanks to several popular Nintendo titles. Super Smash Bros. Wii U, SSMB 3DS and Pokemon are leading the way for Nintendo. Sales are also up as well. Nintendo is having a much better year if you compare it to last year numbers. Wii U console sales are up 10% and software sales are up 90% according to Nintendo. Nintendo has stated:

“This is a ringing endorsement from families and fans that Nintendo has the best variety, the best value and the best gaming experiences for sale this holiday season,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We’re extremely confident in our holiday proposition and look forward to closing this year strong and starting 2015 with a full head of steam.”

Scott Moffitt could be correct. Nintendo does have a decent amount of "must-bye" titles from both first and third party companies. Nintendo has games that suit everyone as well no matter if it's an adult or a child. Here are the sales that Nintendo has released in their press statement

Nintendo Sales:

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (NDS)= 1.5 Million
Super Smash Bros. 3DS = 1.5 Million
Super Smash Bros. Wii U = 710,000
Nintendo amiibo = 710,000
Nintendo Wii U = 240K

It's worth noting that the sale numbers are approximates. The Nintendo 3DS sales are up 40% mostly due to Pokemon and Super Smash Bros. 3DS. We will see how strong the Wii U & 3DS sales are around Christmas and the New Year. I expect more of the same positive news.
