May 12 (Reuters) – Vancouver-based quantum computing agency D-Wave Units Inc said on Thursday it has deployed its most recent quantum personal computer to the University of Southern California.

D-Wave’s most strong equipment, called the Gain procedure, was released in September, 2020 and has been operational in Canada and Germany, reported Murray Thom, D-Wave’s vice president of product management.

U.S. researchers and corporations have been in a position to obtain the machine on-line, but the deployment will put a machine bodily in the U.S. and comes as Washington boosts its help for quantum technological innovation, he explained.
