Verizon carrier Visible’s rate lock is an inflation solution

TL;DR

  • The new Visible rate lock program locks you into a mobile plan rate for five years.
  • When you join Visible as a new member, you lock in a $30 or $45 rate, depending on the plan.
  • You have until January 3, 2023, to get your locked-in rate.

It’s no secret that inflation is hitting people hard all across the world. With energy prices going up as well as general cost-of-living hikes, dollars just aren’t going as far as they used to.

Thankfully, you can at least depend on one thing: your mobile plan. Thanks to the new Visible rate lock program, you can rest assured that you won’t see an increase in your mobile plan for the next five years.

The limited-time offer is pretty simple. If you join Verizon’s subsidiary carrier Visible from now until January 3, 2023, you lock in your monthly rate. At the moment, those rates are $30 each month for the standard plan and $45 each month for the Visible Plus plan. Even if Visible raises those rates over the next five years, you won’t be affected as long as you continue to subscribe.

Unfortunately, this only applies to customers who have not had Visible service within the last 180 days. If you’ve never used Visible, you are eligible, and if you gave Visible a shot but haven’t used it since June 2022, you’re eligible as well. Current customers are not eligible.

If you’re trying to manage your budget during these tough times, this could be a great program. It will allow you to know exactly what you’ll pay for mobile service from now until 2027, which should be plenty of time for the economy to even out (hopefully).
